Fear Came Knocking

A Testimony of God's Providence in Healing from Cancer.

Years before my diagnosis, Providence Canyon had become a special place to me. At the time, I simply appreciated its beauty. I had no idea that its very name—Providence—would one day take on a much deeper meaning. God was already writing a story I could not yet see.

Looking back, I can now see God's hand at work long before I understood what He was doing. What seemed like an ordinary part of my story would later become a powerful reminder that God was guiding my steps all along.

In March 2018, I heard the words no one wants to hear: You have cancer.

Fear quickly followed, but so did a growing conviction that God would guide me through the journey ahead. What followed was not the path I expected, but a remarkable story of faith, providence, healing, and hope.

I share that story in my book, Fear Came Knocking: A Testimony of God's Providence in Healing from Cancer.

Today, Dean and I enjoy a quieter life in South Georgia with our dogs, Brody and Gus. When the workday is finished, you'll often find us tending our garden, spending time on our back porch, taking drives in the country, and encouraging others who are walking through difficult seasons.

My prayer is that this website—and my book—will remind you that fear does not have the final word.
